New York Bar Foundation Hires Director of Development with Decades of Experience in Nonprofits, Media and Politics
The New York Bar Foundation has appointed Danielle Holland – who for the last two decades has excelled at conducting fundraising campaigns, securing major gifts and cultivating donors – to be its director of development. In this new position, Danielle will lead the Foundation’s development efforts focusing on building philanthropic support aligned with the Foundation’s mission.
“This hire comes at a pivotal moment in our history as we aim to increase our annual grantmaking and impact across the state,” said Justice Cheryl Chambers, Foundation President. “Danielle’s expertise and passion will be a great asset as we build on the work that defines this organization. We know Danielle will help us enhance our support for the millions of New Yorkers facing social inequity during this crucial time.”
In her role as chief executive officer of the Legal Marketing Association, Holland managed all operations, including development, and led the organization to its highest membership levels, a third of whom were based in New York. She was also chief executive officer of the Financial Managers Society where she played a key role in launching a successful fundraising campaign for its Foundation.
“ I look forward to this incredible opportunity to working with Justice Chambers, our board of directors, staff and volunteer leaders to expand the depth and breadth of our impact,” Holland said. “ I am excited to partner with donors to make sure that they feel and experience how their contributions are transforming the lives of their neighbors.”
Holland has also worked in public relations roles at CNN, Fox News, and the American Red Cross and been a key member of Presidential and Congressional campaigns and Congressional communications teams.
